WOMEN’S HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK | Kennedy Marchment adds to hat trick

kennedy-marchment-powSt. Lawrence senior Kennedy Marchment leads women’s hockey in scoring at 2.17 points per game and had her first career hat trick Saturday in a 4-0 win over Harvard. With that performance, she is ASN’s first women’s hockey player of the week this season.

She has multiple points in five of the Saints’ eight games thus far, with three games with three or more points. She has been in on the scoring on 17 of the Saints’ 27 goals. She has led the Saints, picked to finish seventh the preseason ECAC Hockey coaches poll, to a 7-0-1 start, the best for the program since the 2005-06 team started the season with eight straight wins.

The Saints are now ranked sixth and seventh in the national polls.
