‘Wild west’ of satellite camps put coaches on opposite sides of the ball


Satellite football camps became a lightning rod issue over the past year, especially when Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh went outside his “backyard” and held camps in the recruiting hotbeds of Florida, Georgia, American Samoa and, in a bold move, Ohio. Not everyone in the coaching fraternity is on board with the camps. We asked coaches at a variety of media days what they thought of the practice.
