Tom Flynn

Tom Flynn began writing for ASN in June, 2015 and has contributed to the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Washington Post, among others. He's also written three books (Baseball in Baltimore, Venable Park, & Men's Lacrosse in Maryland).

He attended Mount St. Mary's University, playing baseball, and James Madison University. He played in metro-Washington leagues for a decade following college. In early 2016 he joined the men's lacrosse staff at North Carolina's Montreat College.

Flynn once was traded for a former major league pitcher as their similar uniform size made for a headache-free transaction. He prefers to end that story at "...major league pitcher."

Tom and his wife Courtney live near Frederick, Maryland. They have five sons.
