BEST OF ASN: With a new year approaching, we thought this would be a great time to look back on the stories that touched us in 2015. Some made us laugh, some cry. But all of them showcase what makes ASN your home for your teams, your passion.

You hear the name Bichette, you think of hitting.

Dante Bichette batted .299 during a 14-year career in the major leagues, and he retired the day his son hit his first home run. Now Dante Jr., a first-round draft choice by the New York Yankees in 2011, is picking up where dad left off.

“We can hit,” he says, “and that’s what we love to do.”

On the cover: Dante Bichette Jr., right, with his father.
