Ohio State continued to top the FWAA-NFF poll this week following Saturday’s 38-0 victory over Hawaii at the Horseshoe. But there was movement below the Buckeyes after Michigan State, ranked No. 5 last week, beat Oregon, 31-28, in East Lansing.
Auburn, ranked No. 6 last week, dropped out of the Super 16 after nearly being upset by FCS member Jacksonville State, 27-20, at home. The Tigers needed OT to pull out the victory.
Georgia Tech joined the Super 16 after winning by wide margins in their first two games this year.
Ohio State was the only team to receive first-place votes.
