Marshall’s Sebastian Johansson grew up in a weightlifting culture in his native Sweden.
“I grew up in a very blue-collar area where lifting weights and strongman competitions were a big part of the lifestyle,” Johansson told Stack.com.
Coming to American football as a 12-year-old in Karlstad, quickly came to love the game and wanted to come to America to play collegiately.
After a year as a high school exchange student in Kentucky, Johannson caught the eye of recruiters with his play and strength. He returned to Sweden for his final year of high school before heading to West Virginia and Marshall University.
Now, Johansson could be the steal of the NFL draft, which resumes Friday night.
