Second round of MLS Draft should see plenty of ASN athletes picked

MLS will conduct it's player draft this Friday and there are ASN-affiliated athletes who should be drafted in the second round.

Felix De Bona is a forward from Boston University, who scored 23 goals and had 70 shots on goal. Over the summer De Bona trained with the New England Revolution U23 team.

Keith Traut is a defender from Albany. While at Albany Traut played 71 games. In 2016 Traut led his team in minutes played with 1,889 and was named all-conference first team.

Bernardo Mattos is a defender from Albany. The Brazilian played 72 games, scored 5 goals and had 19 shots on goal.

Zeiko Lewis is a midfielder/forward from Boston College. In 2016 the Bermudian played in 20 games while scoring 7 goals.

Lindo Mfeka is a midfielder from USF. In 2016 Mfeka played 14 games, scoring 4 goals on 11 attempts.

For its 22nd season, MLS will field 22 teams with expansion teams Minnesota United and Atlanta United joining this year. They hold the top two overall picks, respectively.
