Ohio State still No. 1 in FWAA-NFF Super 16 poll but Auburn out after near upset

Ohio State continued to top the FWAA-NFF poll this week following Saturday's 38-0 victory over Hawaii at the Horseshoe. But there was movement below the Buckeyes after Michigan State, ranked No. 5 last week, beat Oregon, 31-28, in East Lansing.

Auburn, ranked No. 6 last week, dropped out of the Super 16 after nearly being upset by FCS member Jacksonville State, 27-20, at home. The Tigers needed OT to pull out the victory.

Oregon dropped to No. 9. USC moved up four spots after beating Idaho, 59-9.

Georgia Tech joined the Super 16 after winning by wide margins in their first two games this year.

Ohio State was the only team  to receive first-place votes.
