Coach says South Alabama ready to play better against Georgia Southern

The Georgia Southern game Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ASN is one South Alabama head coach Joey Jones circled in the preseason.

The Jaguars are 0-2 against their Sun Belt Conference rivals, including a 55-17 loss last season. "It's time for us to play better," Jones said.

It's a home game for the Jaguars, who are coming off a 21-20 victory at Mississippi State, their first win against an SEC opponent. USA also received votes in a poll as an FBS team for the first time.
