The University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee beat out more than 40 competitors to win a contest sponsored by the NCAA Division I National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee to raise awareness of campus sexual assault.

The contest is part of the NCAA's participation in the "It’s On Us" campaign led by the White House. The winning video debuted on the big screen at Lucas Oil Stadium prior to the Final Four games of the men's basketball NCAA Tournament April 4 April 4 in Indianapolis. The NCAA Division I National SAAC invited campus SAACs across the country to create videos promoting awareness and prevention of sexual assaults on campus in support of the It’s On Us campaign. "We’re excited to see so many student athletes around the country step up to stop sexual assault and become part of the It’s On Us Campaign," said campaign manager Kristin Avery. "We congratulate UNC Charlotte and its athletes on their great PSA." In addition to having its video shown to more than 100,000 fans at the men's and women's Final Four, Charlotte will receive $5,000 to be used for additional sexual assault prevention efforts on campus. From the 44 qualifying SAAC video submissions, members of DI SAAC narrowed the field to the top six for judging. Charlotte was selected as the winner, with the U.S. Military Academy’s receiving an honorable mention for its video:
