Counting down to the start of the 2016-17 college basketball season on Nov. 11, ASN’s Mark Adams previews the players, teams and conferences to watch. Today: Nos. 90-81 in the top 100 players from ASN’s family of schools.

devonte-hall-9090.     Devonte Hall | Northwestern State

The junior averaged 6.3 assists per game last season and the Demons’ high-octane offense needs fuel to pass! Hall feeds Mike McConathy’s offense.

 

 brendan-westendorf-8989.       Brendan Westendorf | Seattle

The senior, who averaged 12.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season is solid in Seattle. He made the WAC’s All-Defensive and All-Newcomer teams.

 

dedrick-basile-8888.       Dedrick Basile, CSU Bakersfield

The senior averaged 12 ppg last season in helping the Roadrunners to their first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance.  He will score more this season.

 

ian-baker-8787.       Ian Baker, New Mexico State

Reliable senior averaged 13.8 ppg and earned first-team All-WAC honors. He was also named to the All-Defensive and the All-WAC Tournament teams.

 

elijah-wilson-8686.       Elijah Wilson, Coastal Carolina

The senior (13.7 ppg) leads the Chanticleers from the Big South, where he earned honorable mention all-conference, to the Sun Belt.

 

marcus-johnson-jr-8585.       Marcus Johnson Jr., Little Rock

The senior (12.5 ppg) can score and will need to with the loss of Josh Hagins. Johnson led the Sun Belt in 3-point shooting (46.6%).

 

ty-charles-8484.       Ty Charles, Stephen F. Austin

The junior guard is an all-around player (9.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.3 apg) who wins. Lumberjacks extended home winning streak to a nation-leading 29 games.

 

dakarai-henderson-8383.       Dakarai Henderson, Sam Houston State

Senior guard is an offensive weapon (14.2 ppg) with 3-point skills. He’s 28th in school career scoring with 962 points.

 

aurimas-majauskas-8282.       Aurimas Majauskas, Sam Houston State

Senior forward/center (14.4PPG, 5.6RPG) is a skilled, old school back-to-the basket guy. Sam Houston State is legit in the Southland.

 

t-j-cromer-8181.       T.J. Cromer, East Tennessee State

The junior guard can score (14.9 ppg) and can pass (3.1 apg). He also defends well enough to disrupt opposing offenses.
