Counting down to the start of the 2016-17 college basketball season on Nov. 11, ASN’s Mark Adams previews the players, teams and conferences to watch. Today: Nos. 70-61 in the top 100 players from ASN’s family of schools.

The junior is a scorer (14.7 points per game) with a really good recipe stirred by PG Keon Johnson, who always finds him.


kevin-vannatta-6969.       Kevin Vannatta | UNC Asheville

The junior (11.5 ppg) is becoming a go-to guy on a very good team.


tyrell-nelson-6868.       Tyrell Nelson | Gardner-Webb

The senior (14.2 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 56% FG) will be the main scoring threat for the Runnin’ Bulldogs this season.


chris-flemings-6767.       Chris Flemmings | UNC Wilmington

The senior (16.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg) is a solid scorer and rebounder on a really nice team to watch.


joshua-braun-6666.       Joshua Braun | Grand Canyon

The junior (16.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg) leads the Antelopes, who won 27 games last season. He made 87% of his free throws totaling 203 (12th in the country).


hassan-martin-6565.       Hassan Martin | Rhode Island

The senior (2.5 blocks per game) makes Dan Hurley’s Rams Rim Tough!


chris-clemons-6464.       Chris Clemons | Campbell

The sophomore (18.5 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 37% 3-pointers) returns to build on his outstanding freshman season for the Camels.


evan-boudreaux-6363.       Evan Boudreaux | Dartmouth

This sophomore scorer lit it up last season (17.7 ppg, 9.4 rpg). At 6-8 he can also fill it up from the arc as well (40% 3-pointers).


matt-morgan-6262.       Matt Morgan | Cornell

Sophomore brings 18.9 ppg as the focal point for this year’s Big Red team that lost only one senior.


makai-mason-6161.       Makai Mason | Yale

The junior (16 ppg) returned after testing the NBA waters. He leads the Bulldogs as they try to defend their Ivy League title.
