MARK MADNESS | Nos. 50-41 in Mark Adams’ countdown of ASN’s top 100 players

Counting down to the start of the 2016-17 college basketball season on Nov. 11, ASN’s Mark Adams previews the players, teams and conferences to watch. Today: Nos. 50-41 in the top 100 players from ASN’s family of schools.

siyani-chambers-5050.       Siyani Chambers | Harvard

Head coach Tommy Amaker welcomes back his senior point guard (9.9 points and 4.3 assists per game) from a season-ending injury last year.

eric-garcia-4949.       Eric Garcia | Wofford

This senior (10.3 ppg, 4.8 apg) has been around a long time and now has a PhD in point guard play.

keon-johnson-4848.       Keon Johnson | Winthrop

The senior is the size of the Mayor of Munchkinland in the Wizard of Oz (5-7) but has a big offensive game (18.7 ppg).

cedric-hankerson-4747.       Cedric Hankerson | Boston University

The senior scored 15.9 ppg in 2014-15 but sat out last season with an ACL injury. If Hankerson is 100% I like these Terriers a lot.

tai-odiase-4646.       Tai Odiase | UIC

The junior is the country’s top returning shot-blocker (3.23 blocks per game).

(Sarah Stier | Ohio Athletics)

45.       Jaaron Simmons | Ohio

The junior is back for the Bobcats as the second-best returning assist man in the country.

william-lee-4444.       William Lee | UAB

The junior, a 6-10 intimidator, was Conference USA’s Defensive Player of the Year last season. Expect more intimidation in B-ham.

omar-prewitt-4343.       Omar Prewitt | William & Mary

At 6-7, the senior is a matchup nightmare and will have a breakout season for the Tribe. Prewitt could lead Tribe to their first NCAA bid.

semi-ojeleye-4242.       Semi Ojeleye | SMU

This 6-8 junior transfer from Duke is getting a lot of preseason love in Dallas.

damyean-dotson-4141.       Damyean Dotson | Houston

The senior is one of only three players to rank among the AAC’s top 11 in both scoring (13.9 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg).

• Nos. 100-91
