ICYMI: Records, rallies and winning streaks


In cased you missed it Saturday:

  • Harvard continued its winning streak with a 42-7 victory over Princeton, the Crimson’s 20th in a row. Scott Hosch passed for a career-high 437 yards today. Colton Chapple was the last quarterback to surpass 400 passing yards with 448 yards at Princeton in 2012.
  • Bowling Green wide receiver Roger Lewis sat at No. 2 in the nation coming into Saturday’s games with 1,020 yards. He continued to prove his worth with two touchdowns on the day to go along with 102 receiving yards in the Falcons’ 48-0 win over Kent State.
  • Louisiana Tech showed Conference USA how much of a contender they are with their dominant 45-16 win over Middle Tennessee. It was a Driskel-Dixon show all day as quarterback Jeff Driskel and running back Kenneth Dixon combined for five total touchdowns and over 350 yards.
  • Fordham’s Chase Edmonds had a record day with 347 yards in the Rams’ 59-42 victory over Lehigh on Saturday. He topped the previous league record of 304 yards by Lafayette’s Ross Scheuerman against Lehigh in 2014 and Edmonds also tied Lamar’s Kade Harrington for most rushing yards in a game in NCAA Division I this season.
  • Toledo trailed UMass 28-10 at halftime but rallied to make the final score 51-35. This marks the fifth-largest comeback in school history. That keeps their 10 game win-streak alive with their 7-0 overall record and 4-0 record in conference play.
