ICYMI: Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl Edition

In case you missed it this week from the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl:

  • To kick  off the week in Tucson, both teams had players, cheerleaders and mascots visit the pediatric ward at the Tucson Medical Center. The goal of the visit was to hang out with the kids and bring some smiles to their faces. The players handed out t-shirts and took some time off from the pressures of the bowl game to give back to some of their biggest (little) fans.
  • The Arizona Bowl’s gift to the teams was voted as the best gift among all of the other bowls. The customized cowboy boots were a huge hit with the players and coaches and the boot fitting was an awesome experience for both teams. Keep an eye out in 6-8 weeks for some new looks!
  • If you couldn’t make it to the block party, you missed out on some great food, fun, music and spirited performances from both schools. Both Colorado State’s and Nevada’s bands and cheerleaders performed and got everyone excited for the bowl game between these two familiar foes.
  • After what was a very close game throughout, Nevada pulled off the win as Colorado State failed to get out of bounds with 7 seconds left in the game. The final score of the inaugural Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl was 28-23 and the offensive MVP of the game went to Nevada’s James Butler. Congrats Wolf Pack!
