ICYMI: James Madison goes to 6-0, Harvard to 18 in a row


In cased you missed it Saturday:

  • Dartmouth’s Dalyn Williams lived up to his ASN FCS Player of the Week earnings with a huge win over Yale. He threw for a school-record 435 yards and four touchdowns. He also broke the career record for total yards as Dartmouth in their 35-3 victory over Yale in front of a record breaking crowd.
  • Bowling Green quarterback Matt Johnson passed for 450 yards and five touchdowns in their 62-38 victory over UMass. The Falcons also set a new school record with 725 total yards and the most points on the board since 2003.
  • James Madison’s Vad Lee caps the night off with an impressive 22-for-29 completion percentage with 233 yards and fives touchdowns. This brings the Dukes’ 2015 season going strong as they move to 6-0 (3-0 CAA) after their 51-30 victory over Towson.
  • Harvard took their win-streak to No. 18 in a row with their dominant 40-3 victory over Cornell — the longest current streak in the FCS. The Crimson also set a new program record with their 13th straight Ivy League win.
  • Northern Illinois quarterback Drew Hare completed 90.6% of his passes for 363 yards and two touchdowns. Their 59-41 win over Ball State snapped their 3-game losing streak and also gave them rights to Bronze Stalk Trophy for the seventh consecutive year.
  • While Toledo moved up to No. 22 in the Associated Press Top 25, North Texas lost 66-7 to Portland State in the worst loss by an FBS school to an FCS school in college football history. Mean Green head coach Dan McCarney was fired following the game.
