It has been a year to forget for Philadelphia Phillies fans. A managerial change, big name trades and disappointing play on the field has not made for a joyful experience in Philadelphia.
There is a bright spot on the horizon though. J.P. Crawford, the team’s top pick (No. 16 overall) in the 2013 draft was recently ranked the No. 2 prospect in all of baseball by Keith Law of ESPN.
Crawford, a distant cousin of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Carl Crawford, is emulating his idol — Jimmy Rollins — in many ways by leading on defense, at the plate and in the clubhouse.
