Thanks to Furman and other ASN-affiliated schools, "basebald" is becoming a new national pastime.
The Palladins are one of 66 teams to shave their heads for College Baseball Vs. Cancer 2015, which has raised more than $374,000 for the Vs. Cancer Foundation's fight against childhood cancer.
Furman, which led the country last year by raising more than $40,000, is third this year ($25,389) behind Elon ($29,095 raised) and the University of Oklahoma ($29,316.) Fordham ($14,295), Harvard ($10,261) and Brown ($8,420) are also in the top 10. (Here's the full list.)
