ASN will broadcast two Atlantic Hockey contests this season as part of the 2016-17 college hockey lineup.
“Partnering with the American Sports Network continues our efforts to showcase the talent in Atlantic Hockey on a national stage” said Commissioner Robert DeGregorio. “ASN proved to be a valued partner for college hockey last season and we are happy to be a part of it this season.”
Sacred Heart and Air Force will each host a game in the second half of the season. The Pioneers’ telecast will occur on Friday, Jan. 20 when they welcome Bentley to Webster Bank Arena at 8:30 p.m. ET.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to showcase our University, our hockey program, and our league on the American Sports Network” said Sacred Heart head coach CJ Marottolo. “This broadcast will be available to at least 50 million viewers which is a great way for us to advance our brand. We look forward to playing Bentley University in a fast entertaining game.”
Air Force’s televised game will hit the airwaves the following month when they host AIC on Friday, Feb. 10. That game will also start at 8:30 ET.
“We are thrilled to have our game with AIC being aired on the American Sports Network” said Air Force head coach Frank Serratore. “The chance to play in front of a national television audience and provide a viewing opportunity for Air Force fans all around the world is very special and exciting.”
