Football, remote control, popcorn

It’s just 82 days until kickoff of the 2015 football season and American Sports Network and Conference USA are teaming up to bring you 30 games this season.

With the addition of Charlotte (not bowl eligible) and the return of UAB next year, the schedule is loaded with excitement, including 20 league matchups, four tripleheader and nine doubleheader Saturdays.

The Rice Owls bookend the ASN broadcast schedule, starting with Wagner at home on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m. ET and wrapping up with Charlotte on Nov. 28 also at 3:30 ET. The schedule features top games pointing toward a big bowl season for C-USA teams.

Mark your calendar for Oct. 24. Starting with Southern Miss at newcomer Charlotte at noon ET, the day gets better with the marquee game Middle Tennessee at Louisiana Tech at 3:30. Dessert comes at 7 p.m. with FAU at UTEP.

With seven guaranteed spots in postseason bowls, the CUSA football season culminates with entry to the Arizona, Gildan New Mexico, Miami Beach, Popeyes Bahamas, R+L Carriers New Orleans, St. Petersburg and Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas bowls.
